Filia caters for learners of school going age, 6 – 18 years. All our learners are intellectually challenged. Preference is given to those with:
Cerebral Palsy, Physical Disabilities, Certain Syndromes or Genetic Conditions
The school programme includes:
MATHEMATICS, LANGUAGE, LIFE SKILLS
AND VOCATIONAL SKILLS
The functional goal of our training programme is for our learners to:
- Learn to socialise
- Follow a structured school programme
The aim is to provide the child with daily living skills that will enable the learner to become as independent as possible in a fun and safe environment.
The learner receives skills which are both functional and age appropriate. The long term aim of our training is that the learner will be able to play a meaningful and valuable role in the community.
